The goal of the Family and Consumer Sciences Program is to improve the quality of life for individuals and families. We address the challenges of critical issues affecting people's daily lives in a changing environment. Programs focus on economic, social and physical well-being of our clients. We strengthen personal and family relationships, encourage healthful choices, and identify recources to extend income.

Essential Oils for Pest Control

Spring has arrived and so have all those pesky bugs which can put a bite on all those outdoor activities. This class will explore natural oils and plants which can be used to repel pests to increase your outdoor fun.

Using Oils, Vinegars, Herbs and Spices in Preparing Food

Join us for a combined class of as part of the Edible Education series focusing on food for good health.
A Craft and an App
Monday, May 22 ~~ 1:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.
This is a new series being offered which will feature a monthly craft class along with an appetizer! Participants will make the featured craft as well as how to make the appetizer they can enjoy as part of the class. A small fee will be charged to cover the cost of materials for the craft so cost will vary throughout the series. The first craft will be a wine bottle bird feeder.
Cost will be $7 which includes wood, brackets, paint, wire and bowl. Participants should bring a clear empty wine bottle or something similar in shape. Class size is limited to 15 in each session so register and pay in advance to reserve your spot. Specify time of class you wish to attend when registering!
