We address the challenges of critical issues affecting people's daily lives in a changing environment. Programs focus on economic, social and physical well-being of our clients. We strengthen personal and family relationships, encourage healthful choices, and identify recources to extend income.


Science of Canning Vegetables
Thursday, July 13, 6:00 p.m., Extension Office
This hands-on program will allow participants to learn the correct way to preserve vegetables when using a pressure cooker. Guaranteed to walk away with great information.  Registration is requested by Tuesday, July 11.  Contact the Extension Office at 270-422-4958.

Paper Poppies 
Tuesday, July 18, 10 a.m. or 6:00 p.m., Extension Office
The July Craft and an App class will feature how to make paper poppy flowers.  All supplies will be provided free of charge but we do have a request.  Once you learn to make them please make a red one and donate to the Meade County Poppy Gathering.  All the paper poppies donated will be taken to the Kentucky State Fair as part of the WWI Centennial Remembrance.  Registration is requested by Friday, July 14 so we will have sufficient supplies.
